1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account on Visual Journal, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Service Description
Visual Journal is a web application that allows users to upload visual journal pages and receive AI-powered creative mentoring feedback. The service includes personal journal management, community gallery features, and subscription-based access tiers.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information during registration. You must be at least 13 years old to use this service.
4. Content Ownership
You retain all rights to the images and creative work you upload. By sharing content to the community gallery, you grant other users a non-exclusive right to view your shared content within the platform. You can remove your content from the community at any time.
5. AI Mentoring
AI mentoring responses are generated by artificial intelligence and are intended as creative suggestions only. They do not constitute professional art instruction or therapy. The quality and appropriateness of AI responses may vary. The AI mentor treats all users equally regardless of gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnicity, age, religion, or any other personal characteristic. Gender preferences collected during signup are used solely to ensure grammatically correct responses in gendered languages.
6. Community Guidelines
Content shared in the community gallery must not contain explicit, harmful, or illegal material. Administrators reserve the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines.
7. Subscriptions
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly. Unused Creative Credits do not roll over to the next month. You can cancel your subscription at any time, and access will continue until the end of the current billing period.
8. Privacy
We collect your email address, display name, and uploaded images. Your data is used solely to provide the service. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Images uploaded to the service are processed by OpenAI for AI mentoring purposes.
9. Limitation of Liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of data or content.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
